Gul, Erdogan receive Eroglu

President Abdullah Gul yesterday received Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) President Dervis Eroglu at Cankaya Presidential Palace. The two leaders held a tete-a-tete meeting to discuss the state of talks concerning the reunification of island amid new proposals which were made by the United Nations to the parties with regard to property and power-sharing.  During the meeting, Gul promised Eroglu to support all decisions to be made by the TRNC. The inter-delegation meetings which were held later were attended by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and his Turkish Cypriot counterpart Huseyin Ozgurgun. Afterwards, Eroglu met with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan to discuss steps to be taken in the future, unless a solution is found until the Greek Cypriot administration takes over EU term presidency on July 1.
