Gul hosts Muharrem dinner at Presidential Palace

President Abdullah Gul yesterday hosted an iftar dinner at the Cankaya Presidential Palace on the occasion of the month of Muharrem according to the Hijri calendar. The iftar was attended by Religious Affairs Director Mehmet Gormez, Chairman of World Ehl-i Beyt Foundation Fermani Altun, Chairman of the Federation of Alevi Foundations Dogan Bermek, former Parliament member Reha Camuroglu, Hitit University's Deputy Rector Osman Eğri, Chairman of the Karacaahmet Sultan Foundation Muharrem Ercan, Anatolian Alevi-Bektashi Federation Chairman Cengiz Hortoglu, Alevi-Bektashi Federation Chairman Selahattin Ozel, leader of Turkey's Jafari People Selahattin Ozgunduz and Istanbul Alevi Foundations Chairman Metin Tarhan. The iftar menu has been prepared in line with sensitivities of Alevi and Jafari people. Speaking on the sidelines of iftar, Gul underlined that the future of Turkey would be full of positive developments.
