The international balance of power has shifted towards Asia, and Europe and the world must deal with this, said President Abdullah Gul yesterday. Speaking at the College of Europe at Natolin, Poland on the last day of a two-day visit there, Gul said Europe must reconsider its geostrategy according to these changes in the global balance. According to Gul, Europe has grown introverted since the global financial crisis, and so its focus has changed. Gul also underlined that Europe should take an interest in the recent revolutions in the Middle East and North Africa, hailing them as "historic opportunities."
