Gul suggests a joint bank for the middle east

President Abdullah Gul yesterday suggested a joint bank in the Middle East in order to support Turkey's contracting sector. Speaking to the Turkish Contractors Association, Gul said, "You all complain about bank letters. You say you need to have reference letters from bigger US and European banks rather than Turkish ones in order to get the projects you want. I encourage an initiative to found a joint bank in the Middle East."
