Gul to travel Turkmenistan for three-day official visit

President Abdullah Gul is set to travel to Turkmenistan tomorrow for a three-day official visit. Turkmen President Gurbanguli Berdimuhammedov will give an official welcome to Gul at Oguzkhan Kiosk. The welcoming ceremonies have previously taken place indoors at a lounge of the Oguzkhan Kiosk. Reportedly, various regional and international developments will be discussed within the framework of bilateral and interdelegational talks to be held on the occasion of Gul's visit. Furthermore, Berdimuhamedov will decorate Gul with Turkmenistan's most important order of merit. Gul will also be awarded an honorary doctorate by the Economy and Public Administration Institute of Turkmenistan. The two presidents will jointly lay the foundations of an international Turkmen-Turkish University in Ashkabat and attend an event to be organized at the AhalTeke Horse Breeding Complex. Gul will do the Friday prayers at the Ertugrul Mosque built by the Turkish Religious Administration and will later return home.
