Gul welcomes Saudi Crown Prince

Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince and First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Prince Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud, is paying atwo-day visitto Turkey at the invitation of President Abdullah Gul. Gul welcomed yesterday Prince Al-Saud with a ceremony at the Cankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara. The two leaders held a one and a half hour meeting and then proceeded to the signing ceremony of key industrial and defense pacts. The agreements were signed by Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu and his Saudi counterpart Prince Saud Al-Faisal on behalf of their countries. During the meeting, Gul and the Crown Prince reviewed the distinguished bilateral relations between the two countries in various fields. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments. Gul stressed the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries and the Crown Prince commended the remarkable development of relations between the two countries in all fields. Afterwards, Gul hosted a working luncheon in honor of Crown Prince Al-Saud at the Cankaya Presidential Palace. Al Saud is scheduled to hold talks with senior Turkish officials, including Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu, over ongoing developments in the region and the international arena.
