World Education Entrepreneurs' Society (WEES) Chairman Enver Yucel held contacts at educational institutions in Gulf countries along with Yale University's Brain Tumor Center Chairman and Bahcesehir University Board of Trustee Member Prof. Murat Gunel last week. Speaking about his impressions from the journey, Yucel said, "As a result of the visits I paid to Gulf countries last week, I believe that Turkish education entrepreneurs should follow the markets in countries covered by the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf (CCASG). Considering the projections of 2020 and current figures, educational resources amount to 34 billion American dollars in the CCASG countries, among which 14 percent is met by private sector. In other words, 1.3 million students are educated at 4,400 schools as part of a budget totaling 5.2 billion American dollars. According to projections of 2020, the number of students will increase from 1.3 million to 2.6 million. I would like to attract the attention of Turkish education entrepreneurs and other sectors offering partner services to potential opportunities in the region."
