Gunay pledges an increase in number of Russian tourists visiting Turkey

Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay who was presented the honorary doctorate title at the St. Petersburg State University of Service and Economics in Russia, said that Turkey which ranked among top 10 countries in terms of tourism aimed to attract 10 million Russian tourists to Turkey. According to Gunay, Russia also should increase the number of its promotional programs in Turkey in order to attract more Turkish tourists. Stating that Turkey has been considering tourism as a serious policy and exerting efforts to develop its tourism infrastructure for the last 25 years, Gunay said that they were glad with the number of Russian tourists visiting Turkey and that they have been trying to further increase this number.
