Head of EU delagation to Turkey: "EU is a victim of indiscipline"

Jean-Maurice Ripert, head of the EU delegation to Turkey, said the EU has been the victim of indiscipline during the financial crisis in Europe. Speaking at a meeting with EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen Bagis in Turkey, Ripert said the EU can take lessons from Turkey to cope with a monetary crisis. Ripert said he came to Turkey to ease the negotiation process between Ankara and Brussels, adding that he is planning to work with Bagis closely in the following days. Praising the boom in Turkish economy in the recent years, Ripert also said that he believed Turkey and the EU would overcome this crisis hand in hand.
