Indian President Mukherjee visits Cappadocia

Embarking on an official visit to Turkey upon the invitation of President Abdullah Gul, Indian President Indian President Pranab Mukherjee travelled to Cappadocia yesterday, where he visited the Zelve Ruins, accompanied by his daughter Sharmistha Mukherjee, Indian Shipping Minister Shri Vasari and a delegation consisting of seven deputies from the Indian Parliament as well as Turkish officials. A local ceramic workshop owner gave a ceramic vase to the Indian president as a gift following his time at the Zelve Monastery area. The sightseeing tour was followed by a lunch hosted in the honor of the President Mukherjee by Nevsehir Governor Mehmet Ceylan at Dedeman Hotel. President Mukherjee then departed from Cappadocia by his private jet for Ankara.
