Industry and trade minister Ergun: "Consumers should turn towards domestic goods"

Industry and Trade Minister Nihat Ergun yesterday stated that a very close dialogue between the real and public sectors is needed, and added, "If Turkey develops, it will be with the private sector's favor." Ergun also called on consumers to turn towards domestic goods to help overcome the economic crisis. Receiving Turkish Industrialists' and Businessmen's Association (TUSIAD) Chairwoman Arzuhan Dogan Yalcindag and TUSIAD board members, Ergun stated that when the crisis is resolved, industrialists and businessmen should be supported by consumer potential. For her part, Yalcindag said that they expect a medium-term program which will stimulate and continue sustainable growth. Yalcindag also met with Central Bank head Durmus Yilmaz.
