Iran's foreign minister has calmed Turkey after explaining that they warned those threatening Turkey over NATO's missile shield deployed in Turkey. After Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has phoned his Iranian counterpart to express unease over recent threats to target Turkey in case Iran comes under attack, Iran said its relations with Turkey was based on brotherhood and friendship. "We have made the necessary warning to those who make irresponsible and senseless statements," Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi told Turkey's state-run Anatolian agency yesterday, adding that official view of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards Turkey was based on deep brotherhood and friendship. "The official position of Iran on international and foreign policy issues come strictly from Iran's religious leader, the president and the foreign minister, and the views of the rest do not have credibility for the administration," Salehi added.
