Thorbjoern Jagland, theCouncilofEurope's Secretary-General, said that if Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan could find a solution to the Kurdish issue, he would be certainly nominated for the Nobel Paece Prize. In an interview with the NTV channel, Jagland, who is also chairman of the Nobel Peace Prize Committee, said that he has been actively involved in the process of dialogue between Israel an Palestine when he was the prime minister and foreign minister of Norway, adding that in such processes, there will be some people trying to kill the peace process. "This is the most important risk which is likely to ocur in Turkey as part of its ongoing negotiations. No matter what happens, the parties should never cut the negotiations and they also shouldn't allow the extremists on the two sides to kill the negotiations," Jagland said, expressing belief that the people in Turkey are in favor of a solution to the issue.
