Japanese delegation visit Ankara municipality

Ankara Greater Municipality Secretary General Altan Rasit Civan yesterday met with a Japanese delegation visiting the capital to attend the Third Turkey-Japan Sea Security Meetings. Among participants at the meeting were Japan Ocean Research Foundation head Masahiro Akiyama, Japan Sea Defense Forces Naval Academy Deputy Commander Gen. Izuru Fukumoto, and the Japanese Embassy's Defense Attaché Gen. Keillehi Seto. During the meeting, Civan said that he was happy to welcome the delegation and that Turkey and Japan have ties based on friendship and sympathy. For his part, Akiyama said that they have been coming to Turkey for three years for the meetings and that they are pleased with the work they do in Ankara.
