Kazakh Embassy celebrates diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Turkey
The 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and Kazakhstan was celebrated in a reception at the Kazakh Embassy in Ankara yesterday. During the reception, former President Suleyman Demirel, Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag, Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy leader Huseyin Celik and former Parliament Speaker Koksal Toptan were presented a state honorary medal. Speaking at the reception which was hosted by Kazakhstan's Ambassador to Ankara Canseyit Tuymenbayev, Demirel said that Turkey has continuously supported Kazakhstan, which has taken its place among the strongest countries worldwide following the dispersion of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republic (USSR). Tuymenbayev recalled that Turkey was the first country to recognize Kazakhstan, saying that the two countries will continue to work in cooperation in the future as well.
