Kilic seeks support for Istanbul’s candidacy for 2020 Olympics and Paralympic Games

Youth and Sports Minister Suat Kilic sought support for Istanbul’s candidacy for 2020 Olympics and Paralympics Games at an executive board meeting of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). On the sidelines of the meeting, Kilic met with Russian Sports Minister Vitaly Mutko, who expressed support for Istanbul’s candidacy as a city capable of hosting the Olympics. Afterwards, Kilic met with Britain’s Sports Minister Hugh Robertson. Extending his support for Istanbul’s candidacy, Robertson said that his country’s support would continue to grow. Kilic also met with Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Zhukov and exchanged information regarding the games.
