Leaders of change summit to bring international figures to Turkey

Istanbul this March will welcome prominent international figures, academics, intellectuals and senior government officials to discuss a recent wave of change around the world and Turkey's role, contributions and position in this. In a news conference on Tuesday to promote the Leaders of Change summit, slated for March 14-15, Istanbul University Rector Yunus Soylet, the summit's co-organizer along with the Turkish Future Research Foundation (TUGAV), said universities have a duty to promote intellectual platforms that will lead to change and that the summit will be part of this. Universities must identify rapid changes in the world and guide the public on how to deal with this process, he said. Soylet added that he hopes the summit will lead to serious results in the future. The summit will feature 10 sessions, four business councils, and parallel sessions with various participants.
