Marking Teachers Day, Gul receives educators

Marking Teachers' Day, President Abdullah Gul yesterday received teachers at the Cankaya Presidential Palace in Ankara. Gul said that teachers play an especially important role, as education is key to development and cultural and economic improvement. Gul also said that all officials must strive to meet the needs of Turkey's teachers as far as the nation's finances allow.
