Memorandum of understanding signed between stock exchanges of Egypt and Turkey

A memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed between Istanbul Stock Exchange (IMKB) and Egyptian Exchange (EGX) by IMKB Chairman Ibrahim Turhan and Chairman of EGX Mohamed Omran. Speaking at the signature ceremony, Turhan said that they would work on technical cooperation, sharing of technology, as well as information and capacities in the field of data production between the two stock exchanges through the newly signed MoU. Speaking for his part, Omran said that this was not a symbolic MoU, adding that from now on both Egyptian and Turkish investors would be able to operate at stock exchanges of the two countries. As part of the MoU, a delegation from the IMKB is set to visit EGX in December.
