No interruption settlement process, says Atalay
Deputy Prime Minister Besir Atalay has said there was no interruption in the settlement process. Speaking on the developments about the settlement process during the Justice and Development Party (AKP) weekend meeting in Kizilcahamam, Atalay said various authorities including the National Intelligence Organization, Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and the justice minister were taking part in the settlement process, and named the issue a challenge but denied the allegations of interruption. "Such processes do not usually progress quickly but slowly and warily. A sound progress is what really matters. We are cautious on the issue and there are no interruptions," Atalay said. Atalay also underlined the advanced level of democracy Turkey has achieved, citing among others the recently introduced headscarf freedom in public offices.
