Northern Iraq pipeline to be completed in september
Northern Iraq Regional Kurdish Administration Minister of Energy Ashti Hawrami stated that the new oil pipeline that will transport crude oil from the region to Turkey will be completed by the end of September. Participating in a conference held in London, Hawrami specified that the initial transport capacity of the pipeline will be 300 thousand barrels of oil per day, and can be increased to 1 million barrels of oil per day. Hawrami also stated that natural gas export from Northern Iraq Regional Kurdish Administration to the distribution networks in Turkey is expected to start in 2016. On the other hand, the Regional Kurdish Administration licensed a Turkish company to search for oil in the six blocks in the region.
