Victoria Nuland, a spokesperson for the US State Department, said yesterday that information to be obtained from early warning radar within the NATO missile defense structure to be established in the Kurecik district of Malatya was designed to protect NATO allies. In reply to a question if the information that will be gathered from the radar to be established in Turkey will be shared with Israel, Nuland said, "This is a system that Turkey is contributing to as well. We are very grateful to Turkey for taking on this role within the NATO."
