US President Barack Obama on Monday met with four Turkish students from the Pinnacle Academy, a private Washington, DC school. The students visited the White House to present their project, which took first place in the National Engineers Week Future City Competition in February. Hosting the White House Science Fair to honor the winners of science, technology, engineering and mathematics contests, Obama viewed the winning students' projects and took the time to congratulate the students on their hard work. Pinnacle Academy Principal Mustafa Akpinar called their presence at such an important event an honor for the students and the school, demonstrating its success in providing a quality education grounded in math, science and technology.
