Pakistan's Ambassador to Ankara Muhammad Haroon Shaukat, Consul General to Istanbul Yousuf Junaid and Counselor Zahid Raza yesterday paid a visit of courtesy to Nuh Albayrak, executive editor of Turkiye daily. Shaukat said that the daily has made important contributions with its publications dating back to more than 40 years to ensure that Turkey considers Pakistan as a friendly country. "The investments made in Pakistan by foreign countries are not on desired levels due to security concerns, but Pakistan is a crowded country with a population of 180 million. So the companies could make significant amounts of investments. The point reached by Turkish companies in terms of transportation, energy and construction is praiseworthy," said Shaukat. For his part, Albayrak thanked his guests for visiting him, adding that the Turkiye daily would continue to stand in solidarity with friendly Pakistan.
