A delegation from the Turkish Parliamentary Human Rights Watch Commission, led by a Justice and Development Party (AKP) deputy from Sakarya province Ayhan Sefer Ustun, returned to Ankara after holding contacts with German officials and attending a memorial that took place in German capital of Berlin to remember 10 people, including eight Turks who were killed by neo-Nazi gangs in Germany. Ustun said that they have told German officials during their meetings that those people have not and would not leave Germany even in the saddest days of their lives. Ustun who has held contacts with German Chancellor Angela Merkel, presidential candidate Joachim Gauck, parliamentary commissions and families of victims, said that they would prepare a report on the issue and attend the lawsuits to be held in Germany. Ustun said that they have merely asked German officials to fulfill the requirements of a bill which was perfectly prepared by German Parliament with regard to the issue. "We have met with Merkel. I told her that she was a charismatic leader and that she could avoid such incidents in the future, if she shows close interest in such incidents. Otherwise commissions and investigations might not be sufficient," Ustun said.
