Patriot defense systems from US dock in port of Iskenderun
US Patriot missile batteries loaded on 70 trucks on a vessel named Alliance Charleston under the US flag docked in the port of Iskenderun on Wednesday. Speaking to reporters, NATO's Military Spokesman Lieutenant Dariusz Kacperczyk said that the Alliance Charleston docked at the Iskenderun Port on Wednesday and 70 trucks carrying pieces of the Patriot air defense systems landed at the port. For his part, Spokesman for the Press Coordination Center of the Turkish General Staff, Major Cengiz Alabacak said that the Patriot defense systems from the U.S. would be deployed in the south-eastern province of Gaziantep and that the systems would be operational as of the first half of February.
