Israeli President Shimon Peres has sent a message of condolence to his Turkish counterpart Abdullah Gul for last week's bombings in the southern town of Reyhanli that killed 51 and injured more than a hundred. "I wish to express my deep pain at hearing the news of the murderous terror attack in Reyhanli. On my behalf and on behalf of the people of Israel, I convey my sincere condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Turkey as a whole," Peres wrote in a personal message to Gul. Peres also emphasized the importance of “close cooperation” between Turkey and Israel for the well-being of the two and the region as a whole, saying, "We can look forward together to a better tomorrow for us all."
