PM attends ceremony for disable state personnel appointments

While the results of the personnel exams for the disabled, the Disability Officer Selection Exam (OMSS), were announced on Thursday, a ceremony for the appointments of disabled state personnel took place with the attendance of Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. Speaking at the ceremony held at the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO) Fair and Congress Center-Congresum hall, Erdogan congratulated the disabled state personnel who were appointed on Thursday and told the rest of them not to be sorry. "God willing, we will continue to help provide employment opportunities for our disabled brothers and sisters until everyone gets a job," he said. He also added that they had received 16 times more applications for the OMSS than what was expected, indicating the high demand from the disabled to become state personnel. At the end of the ceremony, Erdogan gave awards to the three people who received the highest scores in the exam and personally informed them where they would be working. A total of 60,346 disabled people across Turkey took the first ever OMSS late in April. With this exam, disabled citizens have the opportunity to earn a position in a public institution.
