Following his visit to Canada to attend the G-20 summit in Toronto, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan told a press conference that he would meet with the main opposition Republican People's Party (CHP) leader Kemal Kilicdaroglu as well as Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) leader Devlet Bahceli to discuss terrorism. Touching on his meeting with US President Barack Obama on the summit's sidelines, Erdogan said that Obama agreed with him that Israel should issue an apology for its deadly raid last month on a Gaza-bound the aid flotilla, Turkey's demand for redress, and lifting of the Gaza blockade. He added, "Obama said he would convey these points to the Israeli prime minister when he visits Washington on July 7."
