President Gul opens Turkish embassy in Kazakhstan
President Abdullah Gul yesterday opened Turkish Embassy in Astana, Kazakhstan along with Kazakh Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev. Gul also laid a wreath at the Ataturk monument. Afterwards he visited the International Weapons and Military Equipment Fair along with his Kazakh counterpart Nursultan Nazarbayev. Gul met with Turkish and Kazakh businessmen at a luncheon. Delivering a speech at Kazakhstan Parliament, Gul said, "Turkey’s bid to Access to the EU does not mean ignoring its relations with the Turkic World."
