President Gul: "Humanitarian issues out of sanctions"

President Abdullah Gul answered yesterday questions on Turkey's agenda prior to his visit to Kyrgyzstan in order to attend the swearing-in ceremony for newly elected President Almazbek Atambayev. Gul stated that presidential elections were conducted in a fair and transparent manner. "I would like to stress that Turkey moves carefully with regard to this issue. The humanitarian issues like water and electricity are certainly not included in these sanctions," Gul said. He added that Turkey agreed with the Arab League's decision on sanctions to be imposed on President Bashar al-Assad's government.
