Putin visit postponed to november
Russian President Vladimir Putin's visit to Turkey, which was scheduled to take place on October 14 to 15, has been postponed to November. It was stated that Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan made a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin earlier this week and the visit was postponed to November on Putin's request. Kremlin has not made an official statement about the postponement yet. Putin was scheduled to come to Turkey for the High Level Cooperation Council (UDIK) meeting which works as a joint council of ministers between the two countries. It was expected that economic, trade and cultural relations as well as Syrian crisis would be on the agenda of the meeting. Energy issues including South Stream, Russia's planned pipeline to feed Europe were expected to be discussed during Putin's visit.
