Qatari Emir Al-Thani holds talks in Turkey

President Abdullah Gul yesterday met with Qatar's Emir Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani at a working breakfast hosted by Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) and Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK). TOBB chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu said, “Today there are 23 Turkish constructing companies amongst the world’s most successful companies. Turkish constructors are ready to serve in Qatar.” Afterwards, al-Thani proceeded to Bodrum to meet with Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan. During the meeting, Erdogan and al-Thani reportedly agreed on the construction of a natural gas pipeline between the two countries.
