Rasmussen urges EU to strengthen relations with Turkey

NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen urged the EU to strengthen its political and military relations with Turkey so that cooperation between NATO and EU is boosted to a desired level. Speaking to chairmen of foreign affairs committees of EU Parliament in Copenhagen, Rasmussen said that it covers the signing of a general security agreement between Turkey and the EU, as well as making certain regulations between Turkey and the European Defense Agency (EDA).
