Refugees not a burden on Turkey, says Yılmaz

Development Minister Cevdet Yilmaz made some statements on the Syrian refugees in Turkey numbering 500,000 approximately. Yilmaz defined it as a humanitarian, cultural, social, economic and historical duty of Turkey towards Syrian people due to common history and culture and added that human life cannot have an economic equivalent. Underlining that Turkey shoulders this burden mostly on itself, Yilmaz said this would not have a significant budgetary impact, dismissing claims that additional taxes would be introduced.
