Ros-Lehtinen defines terrorist PKK as a threat both to Turkey ans US

Speaking at a gala dinner organized at the Turkish-American Association of Northern Texas (TURANT) in Dallas on the occasion of Turkish Republic Day celebrations yesterday, Chairperson of the United States House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs Ileana Ros-Lehtinen said that the threat posed by terrorist organization PKK was not just to Turkey, but also to the US interests in the region. Touching upon the latest terrorist PKK attacks in eastern Turkey, Ros-Lehtinen said that she was deeply saddened by this loss of life and extended her condolences to the Turkish people, particularly all those who lost friends and love ones in these attacks.

"These senseless acts are a reminder of the extremist threat that innocent people face around the world. We must remain vigilant against all extremist groups and operations, and continue to work closely with our allies to root out these threats," she added.
