As part of Britain's ongoing Globe to Globe Festival, a Turkish production of William Shakespeare's "Antony and Cleopatra" was staged three times at the Globe Theatre of Shakespeare in London over the weekend. Turkish actor Haluk Bilginer's Istanbul-based company Oyun Atolyesi (Theater Workshop) staged the play once on Saturday and twice on Sunday at the Globe. Speaking to reporters, Bilginer said that it was very exciting for him to take a role in the play of the most important playwright on the most important theater stage. Bilginer added that the aura and atmosphere of the Globe were unique.
