Ships carrying patriot batteries arrive in Iskenderun port
The ships carrying patriot batteries today arrived in the Iskenderun port of Turkey. Two ships departed from Germany and the Netherlands which agreed to send two Patriot batteries and about 400 troops each, after NATO accepted last month a Turkish request for the anti-missile systems near its border with Syria. The Gibraltar flagged "Louise Russ" ship carrying 18,000 gross tons of Patriots anchored nearly 4 miles far from the Iskenderun Port. Besides, the Danish flagged "Suecia Seaways" ship also arrived in Iskenderun Port at 6:30 am. The ship departed from Germany's Lubeck-Travemunde port on January 8.
