Simsek meets Danish Foreign Minister

Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek and Danish Foreign Minister Lene Espersen yesterday  met for a round table meeting on "Turkey-Denmark: Cooperation for Sustainable Growth" at Istanbul's Hilton Hotel. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Simsek said Turkey and Denmark could specifically engage in cooperation on developing solutions on energy, renewable resources and energy efficiency to reduce Turkey's dependence on foreign supplies.” Most importantly, we hope it could make Turkey a production base for Danish manufacturers," Simsek told reporters, adding Turkish and Danish economies were complementary. Danish Foreign Minister Lene Espersen said the two countries had great many opportunities to offer, adding that Denmark and Turkey were also two allies.
