State-run AA to broadcast in Kurdish

State-run Anatolia news agency (AA) is getting ready to broadcast in Kurdish as from September 1, 2013 within the scope of its objective to be among five international news agencies broadcasting in 11 languages at the 100th anniversary of its foundation. AA is going to broadcast in Kurmanchi and Sorani dialects of Kurdish. Within the framework of the project, a Kurdish News Service has been built on two structures, one Ankara based and the other Arbil based with a team of 400 people. President of the Executive Board and General Director of AA Kemal Ozturk visited the region and met with officials including the Regional President Nechervan Barzani and came together with media executives in Arbil and Suleymaniyah in May.
