Sweedish FM calls for Turkey's EU membership

Sweedish Foreign Minister Carl Bildt and Birgitta Ohlsson, the Swedish minister responsible for European issues expressed their stance on Turkey’s EU membership. “A more democratic Turkey belongs to Europe” says in the joint statement of Bildt and Ohlsson which is released on the European Day. They also indicated that Turkey’s EU membership would strengthen both Turkey and the European Union.
