Switzerland looks for cooperation with Turkish SMEs

Switzerland, which has opened a foreign trade office in its consulate general in Istanbul, shows special interest in Turkey. Foreign Trade Director of Consulate General of Switzerland in Istanbul Mehmet Yildirim said that their main objective was to unite small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Switzerland and Liechtenstein with foreign partners. Yildirim said that SMEs in Switzerland had special interest in Turkey and they aimed to increase business cooperation. "A big committee consisting of representatives from railway, construction and infrastructure sectors will visit Turkey soon. They are monitoring closely Turkey's potential in construction projects. Besides, there may be some work on architecture projects. Switzerland is at a high level in terms of health technologies. After meetings with representatives from universities and private sector, a commitment has been reached to develop joint projects in this field," said Yildirim.
