Syrian delegation meets Davutoglu in New York
Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu met with a delegation from Syria in New York, where he will attend the UN General Assembly. According to diplomatic sources, Davutoglu said that the crisis and Assad's massacres brought huge destruction to the country but that people of Syria would soon or later win their just struggle for an honorable life. Underlining the historical ties between Syria and Turkey, Davutoglu noted that Turkey could never remain indifferent to sufferings of Syrian people and that Turkey would never act in another way in this crisis. In return, members of the Syrian delegation expressed their gratitude for Turkey's moral attitude since the beginning of the crisis and its complete support to Syrian people.
