TESEV survey shows Turkish perception of Turkey in middle east
According to findings from the “Turkish Perception of Turkey in the Middle East 2010” survey carried out by the Turkish Economic and Social Studies Foundation (TESEV), 76% of respondents from the Middle East have used a product “Made in Turkey.” TESEV has made this survey for the first time in 2009, which was followed by the second one in 2010 on respondents from Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Iraq and Iran. The survey data shows that Turkey will become the strongest economy in the region in the next decade and the growth in Turkey’s economy is very welcomed. Furthermore, 87% of Iraqi and 83% of Iranian respondents said they have consumed a Turkish product until now. Among the most frequently used Turkish goods are textile, food, electronic household goods and durable consumer goods.
