The new Turkish army commanders visit Gul

President Abdullah Gul received the Commander of Turkish Armed Forces and the new force commanders, who took office on 30 August, at Cankaya Presidential Palace. Commander of Land Forces Gen. Hulusi Akar, Commander of Naval Forces Admiral Bulent Bostanoglu, Commander of Air Force Gen. Akin Ozturk and Commander of Gendermarie Forces Gen. Servet Yoruk were present at the courtesy visit, where Gul reportedly expressed his wish for success in their office. It has also been reported that the issue of Syria was discussed during the meeting.
