THY orders 15 jets from Boeing

Turkey's national carrier Turkish Airlines (THY) has ordered 15 jet airliners from the US firm Boeing in a deal worth approximately $4 billion. A report issued by THY said that THY will purchase three planes in 2014, seven in 2015, five in 2016 and five in 2017, with an option to buy five more. Speaking to the Kanal 24 channel, THY Executive Board Chairman Hamdi Topcu reiterated that THY ordered 15 Airbus A330-300 long-range jets last week as part of its strategy for the year 2020.
