THY's Kotil: "Avoiding competitors' pitfalls has fueled our success"

The secret behind Turkish Airlines' (THY) recent impressive successes has come from carefully analyzing the shortcomings of its competitors and developing appropriate strategies, said the airline's CEO Temel Kotil over the weekend. Kotil spoke after receiving the William Johnson International Gold Medal at the 14th International Conference on Advances in Materials and Processing Technologies (AMPT), hosted by Istanbul's Yildiz Technical University. "This is a very prestigious medal," said Kotil, the ever first person who is both a scientist and manager, and the first Turk, to receive the award.
