The Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodities Exchanges (TOBB) yesterday sent five truckloads of aid worth nearly 1 million liras to Palestine to help Palestinian workers sew uniforms for over 100,000 local schoolchildren. At the ceremony, TOBB Chairman Rifat Hisarciklioglu said the aid will be transported by the Turkish Red Crescent. "Instead of giving them fish, we will teach them how to fish," he said. "Through this the Palestinians will get jobs. With the Organized Industrial Site we hope to set up in Palestine, we have a project that will offer employment opportunities to 10,000 Palestinians."
