Train service between Tuyrkey, Iraq to start next week
Passenger train service will start next week between Turkey and Iraq, the Turkish State Railways (TCDD) said yesterday. Turkey and Iraq agreed to launch passenger train service last October in an agreement signed at the Turkish-Iraqi High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council. Trains will travel between Mosul, Iraq and the province of Gaziantep in southern Turkey. The first train is expected to arrive in Gaziantep from Mosul next Tuesday, while a return train will leave Gaziantep two days later.
