Turkey and Georgia cooperate in cultural reciprocity

As part of commemoration activities for Azerbaijani playwright Mirza Fatali Ahunzade, Culture and Tourism Minister Ertugrul Gunay hosted his Azerbaijani counterpart Abulfes Gadayev, Georgian Minister of Culture and Monument Protection Nikoloz Rurua and Kosovo's Public Administration Minister Mahir Yagcilar. According to decisions which were taken during the meeting in Ankara, Turkey will repair Georgian churches in the country. In return for this, the ruined mosques in Ahiska, Batum will be restored. Georgia will allocate a new location for the Aziziye Mosque in Batum and restore the Ahmediye Mosque in Ahiska. Accordingly, Ishan Church in Artvin and Osvank Church in Uzundere, Erzurum will be restored under Georgian experts' supervision.
